Truck conductor killed after he falls into 300-ft deep gorge in Ramban

Ramban, May 20: An 18-year-old truck conductor was killed on Thursday after he fell into a 300-feet deep gorge at Khooni Nallah area of Ramban district, an official said.

Station House Officer (SHO) Ramsoo, Rouf Ahmed Khan told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that an 18-year-old boy, a truck conductor by profession, identified as Talib Ali, son of Mohammed Khali of Shangus, was in a cabin of truck bearing registration number JK02AG-7873 when he opened the window and accidentally fell into a deep gorge.

“Rescuers immediately swung into the action and retrieved his body from 300-feet deep gorge,” he said, adding that proceedings under section 174 CrPC have been initiated—(KNO)
