All J&K +2 Lecturers Association calls on Secretary School Education

Reiterated its demand for sanction of ACP

Srinagar: A delegation of All J&K +2 Lecturers Association under the leadership of Mr. Mansoor Ahmad
Khan, today on 28/05/2021 met Secretary to Govt. School Education Department Mr. B.K Singh and
other officers at Civil Secretariat Srinagar and apprised them about various issues confronting +2
lecturers. While thanking Mr. Singh for regularisation I/C Principals, the delegation requested for
filling up of all vacant posts of the principals in the interest of effective school management and
administration.
The delegation reiterated its demand for sanction of ACP in favour of +2 lecturers and
placement of left out lecturers as Sr. Lecturers against available slots to maintain 1/3rd quota as per
departmental norms which became due to post-confirmation of I/C Principals/Sr. Lecturers. Worthy
Secretary was kind enough to assure the delegation time bound redressal of the grievances while
department has been making every effort in this direction and demands including ACP put forth are
under consideration of the department and assured that all the available slots of Sr. lecturers would be
filled up in coming days.
The delegation expressed sincere gratitude to the department for transparent Annual Transfer
Drive 2021 and at the same time requested officers to avoid inconvenient posting of some lecturers by
posting them at local or near available vacancies. Worthy secretary assured that any one feeling
aggrieved should approach the department with valid documents and such cases shall be decided on
merit.
The delegation assured the officers that +2 lecturers are making every effort to reach out to the
students through online classes, video lectures, Youtube channels and other technological media to
compensation their academic loss due to prevailing pandemic situation. The community would
continue to shoulder its responsibilities with covid frontline warriors in accordance with the duties
assigned to the cadre members.
