Kadfeen welcomes re-introduction of Public Service Guarantee Act in JK

Says Act was enacted by Congress Govt to end of dilatory mode of governance, ensure prompt delivery of services

Srinagar: Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary on Wednesday has welcomed the revival of crucial Jammu & Kashmir Public Services Guarantee Act (J&K PSGA), stating that it is hoped that the act will provide relief to the masses who are reeling under the dilatory mode of governance in Jammu and Kashmir.

Kadfeen in a statement said that the government order issued on June 2, this year about the Implementation of Public Services Guarantee Act 2011 and Notification of Citizens Charter is a welcome measure and was much needed given that there were mounting grievances related to the delay in the delivery of public services.

Kadfeen said that the act was enacted during the Congress regime in Jammu and Kashmir in the year 2011 and was aimed to making governance transplant and deliverable for the common masses. However, said Kadfeen, the act was undermined by the successive governments and was kept in cold storage without any remorse.

Now, said Kadfeen, when the government has re-introduced it, there are high hopes of prompt delivery of services and the creation of a comprehensive grievance redressal system.
