Police organises blood donation camp in Baramulla
51 units of blood were donated during camp
Srinagar, June 08: Police on Tuesday hold a blood camp in association with Blood network Baramulla and GMC Baramulla in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
In a statement to GNS, the police said that about 51 units of blood were donated during this camp in which various Blood Donors from District Police Baramulla, Blood Network Baramulla and CRPF participated. The doctors and para-medical staff from Blood Bank GMC Baramulla assisted this camp. Besides the Founding Members of Blood Network Baramulla, Staff of Blood Bank GMC Baramulla, Addl. SP Baramulla Mukesh Kakkar, DySP DAR DPL Dr. Peerzada Aijaz Ahmad, DySP Hqrs Baramulla Syed Sajjad Hussain Bukhari, DySP Ops Baramulla Mohammad Nawaz Khandey, SHO Baramulla Showkat Ahmed Shah and other officials were present.
The spokesman said that on the occasion, the Addl. SP Baramulla said that blood donation was a life-giving act which saves many lives. It also inculcates the feeling of serving towards humanity. He expressed his gratitude towards all the Blood Donors and also appreciated the services being provided by Blood Network Baramulla.
Blood Network Baramulla expressed its thanks to all officers/ officials of District Police Baramulla and GMC Baramulla and said that Blood Network Baramulla will always be at forefront in humanitarian services with reference to Blood Donation, reads the statement.(GNS)
