Srinagar, June 27: Security forces launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Warihom area of Magam in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Sunday.
Reports reaching news agency KDC said a joint team of the SOG Magam and 53 RR cordoned off the Warihom area in Budgam village and conducted house to house searches there.
Reports said that all entry and exit points towards the area were sealed off by the government forces.
Police sources told KDC that a search operation was launched following inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
Searches were going on in the area when reports last came in. (KDC)
