Army recover arms and ammunition along LoC in Keran Sector
Kupwara, July 12: Army recovered arms and ammunition during night patrolling along Line of Control in Keran Sector of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Police sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that soldiers from 22 Sikh Regiment during night patrolling in general area of Googerdor in Keran Sector recovered 2 AK-56 rifles and its 6 magazines, 177 rounds of AK-47 assault rifle, a pistol and 28 bullets of Chinese pistol.
Shortly after the recovery, army launched a search operation, however, found nothing objectionable.
In this regard police station Keran Kupwara registered an FIR vide number 4/2021, under section 7/25 Indian Arms Act. (KNT)
