Sopore: The Jammu and Kashmir police have rebutted the firing incident in north Kashmir’s Sopore on Thursday morning.
Less than an hour after the reports of the firing incident appeared on various Kashmir media organizations that suspected militants have attacked the police party in main chowk, Sopore police took to its Twitter handle and termed the news reports “baseless”.
“The news regarding firing incident at main chowk sopore is totally baseless as no such incident has taken place. General public is requested to co-operate the police and not to heed towards rumour mongering,” Sopore police tweeted. (Agencies)
