Appreciates Efforts of Officers for Increase of 60% growth in Revenue Collection, Issued Directions for Achievement of Revenue Targets.
A review meeting for evaluating the performance of State Taxes Department (STD) Kashmir Division was held in the conference hall of Excise and Taxation complex Srinagar on 28 October. The meeting was chaired by Shri Atal Duloo (Additional Chief Secretary ) Finance , Financial Commissioner of JKUT and was attended by all officers of State Taxes department that includes Mr. Showkat Aijaz Bhat Commissioner (STD) JKUT , Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Bhat Additional Commissioner (STD) Kashmir,Deputy Commissioner recovery, Deputy Commissioner Appeals , Deputy Commissioner Analytic wing & IT, Deputy Commissioner Enforcement central, Deputy Commissioner Enforcement South, DeputyCommissioner Enforcement North and State Taxes officers.
The meeting discussed trend of revenue collection in comparison of the previous year. A detailed power point presentation was presented by Mr.Showkat Aijaz Bhat Commissioner (STD) JKUT regarding the working of department and revenue generation, revenue targets achieved ending September 2021.
He stated that the department has achieved 100% GST Return compliance, 41% growth in imports and 60% in Revenue Collection. He also gave detailed modus operandi which resulted in growth of revenue in comparison with previous accounting year.
All deputy Commissioners and State Taxes Officers present also gave appraisal of their respective wings.
While addressing officers Shri Atal Duloo , (Additional Chief Secretary ) Finance appreciated the efforts of State Taxes department for increase in Tax revenue and issued directions for achievement of revenue targets and implementation of GST Act 2017 in letter and spirit.
