Srinagar, Nov 6: Awami National Conference Saturday said that Kashmir that once was called paradise on earth has been turned into a Hell by the actions of present government.
ANC Spokesperson in a statement said that after the abrogation of Article 370, the government has set new records of violations in Kashmir Valley. He said that marriages halls that were set up for the convenience of locals are being occupied by para-military forces while every intersection there is a check-point restricting the movement of pedestrians as well as traffic.
Awami National Conference said anti-people policies pursed by current Central Government has turned Kashmir into a Hell. He said it is important that individual rights are fully respected and a friendly approach be adopted to give respite to the people.
“People are chocked. There is no freedom of expression. Youth are being arrested at will, lodged at outside jails. The situation in Kashmir has deteriorated considerably owing to the actions of the current Central Government,” the spokesperson said.
“With heavy deployment of security forces and by employing hard handed techniques, the government is busy in alienating people in Kashmir Valley,” he said.
ANC said that use of force and suppression must be stop with immediate effect.
