Road accident leaves two dead in Ramban
Ramban, Nov 13: At least 2 passengers died while 9 were injured after a Sumo rolled down into a gorge in Digdole area of Ramban district of Jammu on Saturday.
Official sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that the driver of a Sumo (JK03A-6391) while on way from Jammu to Banihal lost control and the vehicle fell into deep gorge at Samadhi Morh area of Digdole, Ramban.
Shortly after the accident a rescue operation was launched and injured were shifted to hospital. At least two passengers with critical injuries were shifted to Government Medical College Jammu for advanced treatment.
The passengers boarding in the Sumo were the local of UP.
Official sources identified the dead as Gulzar and Sameer Ahmed, both residents of UP. Among the injured are two little kids undergoing treatment in the hospital. (KNT)
