Srinagar,22-Dec; One day training program on operationalization of eNAM for Stakeholders was held at Directorate of Horticulture Kashmir at Rajbagh Kashmir under the chairmanship of Director Horticulture Planning & Marketing J&K Vishesh Mahajan.
The objective of this programme is welfare of primary producers of agricultural and horticultural commodities in valley by providing them an easy access to a transparent, inclusive and traceable e-market for their products all over the country. Both the sellers and buyers will be on board on the user friendly e-platform of eNAM whereby buyers across India will gain direct access to the agriculture and horticulture commodities with a transparent pricing and cash transaction mechanism resulting in better remuneration for the commodities to the farmers of the UT.
The training session was hosted by State Head eNAM J&K Jameel Jeelani. The Director Horticulture P&M Kashmir along with Director Horticulture Central and other Officials participated in the said Training Programme.
Meanwhile, Detailed presentation was made by the Master Trainer regarding eNAM, to promote uniformity in agriculture marketing by streaming of procedures across the integrated markets, removing information asymmetry between buyers and sellers and promoting real time price discovery based on actual demand and supply.
To popularize the immense benefits to all stakeholders, State Head eNAM has started the introduction and overview of eNAM by organizing training sessions in UT.
