Despite of Sunday Employees of JKSRTC continued their unit wise protest in support of their genuine demands today at District headquarters Kupwara, Baramulla
Srinagar: Spokesman Khalid Ahmad Rather in his statement said that the employees of SRTC in implementation of unitwise protest call given by the Workers Union today despite Sunday continued to stage peaceful demonstration in support of their legtimate demands at district headquarters at Kupwara and Baramulla. The protest at Baramulla was held under the leadership of District President Ajaz Rasool and at Kupwara vice Provincial President Gh. Nabi Wani lead the protest, the employees shouted slogans in support of the demands and issues of JKSRTC and appealed the Govt to settle the issues confronting to employees of JKSRTC which includes Release of 5 months pending salary, Regulirazation of Consolidated employees, release of post retiral benefits in favour to retired employees, release of pending 56 % DA, Implementation of SRO- 357 (Introduction of Passenger Fine), implementation of 7th pay commission. The employees urges the UT Govt particularly the Hon’ble Advisor (B) to Hon’ble Governor, Hon’ble Chief Secretary Sh A.K Mehta, Hon’ble Commissioner Secretary Transport Sh Hirdesh Kumar and Managing Director JKSRTC Angraz Singh Rana to redress the legtimate issues of SRTC employees, the employees made clear that in case Govt continued to slept over the issues of employees the protest will be intensified and the consequences thereoff shall be borne by the Govt and Management of SRTC. The emoyees of both the districts. The employees on the occasion expressed their full confidence in the leadership of the union especially the chairman Wajahat Hussain and vowed that each and every program of the union would be made successful.
