Amid Snowfall, SRTC Employees Stages Protest In Srinagar, Jammu For Fulfillment of Pending Demands
Srinagar, The employees of RTC today continued their unitwise protest program in Srinagar and Jammu despite snow and rain and chanted slogans in support of their demands and warned the government and management of RTC that if the issues of employees are not resolved. Employees will bring more vigor in the struggle and will intensfy it to the highest level and all the consequences thereof if any shall be borne by the government and Management of RTC.In Srinagar, the ‘protest was led by PMD president Muhammad Sayed and in Jammu, the provincial president of the workers’ union, Shri Param Jeet Singh. Lead the protesting employees. Protesting employees urged the UT government not to delay in addressing the legitimate demands of the RTC as it is no longer possibleb for the employees to tolerate the oppression. The rights of the people are being violated by keeping them without salaries from last 5 months.On this occasion, the protesting employees demanded that our unresolved issues, including.1.Release of five(5) Months Salary.2. Regularization of consolidated employees.3. Release of post retiral benefits in favour of retired employees, 4 Release of due 56% DA, 5. Implementation of SRO-43, 6. Introduction of Passengers Fine under SRO-357 7. Implementation of 7th Pay commission. be resolved as soon as possible, otherwise a decisive struggle would be launched across the UT of J&K and Leh and the consequences thereoff shall be borne by the authorities.
