Srinagar : In its efforts to keep up liaison and to get latest updates on the issues taken up with the department, a high level delegation of All J&K +2 Lecturer’s Association under the leadership of president Mr. Mansoor Ahmad Khan, on Tuesday met worthy Principal Secretary School Education Department Shr. B.K Singh at Civil Secretariat Srinagar. The delegation was informed that accord to ACP is under active consideration of the department and efforts are on to get concurrence from the concerned department. The delegation was also informed that in future the Zonal Education Officers will be promoted to the post of Principal on proportionate basis and the promotions to higher posts will be done on merit and performance in eligibility tests.
It was informed that the creation of Vice Principal post will see the light of the day very soon as it will help senior secondary schools to function more effectively given the work load of the existing principals. On the request of the President regarding the issue of lecturers of 2017 recruited batch of Kashmir division, worthy Principal Secretary assured that such lecturers would be granted notional seniority to make them at par their Jammu counterparts and necessary orders will be issued within days.
President also requested worthy Principal Secretary to look into the issue of lecturers serving in very hard zone on humanitarian basis and ensure their transfer/repatriation after serving one academic year in accordance with the already notified transfer policy in 2015. Worthy PS informed that the ensuing academic session would be the last session and in future no one would be deputed/transferred to Ladakh UT unless and except there is any administrative exigency.
President also took the issue of technical hitches faced by the lecturers while applying for ATD 2022, to which worthy PS directed the concerned for immediate rectification, The MP and SP Higher Secondary School will be included in the list of schools, edit option to be provided and date may extended upto 20/02/2022.
Worthy PS was requested issue orders for filling up of all the post of Principals among the list of Sr. lecturers to ensure every higher secondary function smoothly during the academic session 2022.
The delegation thanked worthy PS for giving patient hearing to the delegation and updating about various issues raised from time to time with the department. Those who accompanied the delegation include Mr. Khursheed Ahmad Rather, Mr. Mohammad Shafi, Mr. Irfan Illaih, Mr. Hafizullah and lecturers from 2017 batch.
