South Kashmir: Court directs J-K police to register FIR against BJP activist on serious allegations of sexual exploitation, blackmailing

Srinagar, Feb 21, KDC: A local Court in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district directs Jammu and Kashmir police to register an FIR against BJP activist on serious allegations of sexual exploitation and blackmailing.

The Court directed Police station Kokernag to register an F.I.R against the BJP activist Mohammad Sidiq Khan and Shahid Ahmad Bhat on serious allegation of sexual exploitation and blackmailing of the applicants levelled in the complaint.

The court order dated 11-02-2022 reads that the complainants (name withheld) have approached the Judicial Magistrate 1st Class Vailoo Kokernag with a prayer seeking direction for registration of FIR against the accused persons on the allegations of sexual exploitation and blackmailing , the court observed that the nature and seriousness of the allegations of the commission of cognizable crime raised by the complainants against the accused persons and needs proper and thorough investigation to ascertain the facts.

Meanwhile the order and copy of the application a copy of which lies with Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) was referred to in-charge police station Kokernag for compliance and an FIR has been registered against the accused persons under relevant provisions of law. (KDC)
