ACR Baramulla Chairs Meet; Reviews Preparations for SSR of Photo Electoral Rolls

In order to discuss various issues regarding special Summery Revision Assistant Commissioner Revenue Baramulla Peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad alongwith Tehsildar Baramulla AERO today chaired a meeting with the Supervisors, BLOs and other election related functionaries wherein he took appraisal of all preparations regarding SSR of Baramulla assembly constituency.

The ACR, who is the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) for the said constituency, convened a comprehensive meeting wherein he issued a slew of directions to the supervisors and BLOs.

He directed all BLOs to follow the calendar of Revision Activities as per the schedule and to conduct physical verification of all the designated polling booths so as to get the first hand appraisal of these stations. He also emphasized to formulate a viable action plan so that SSR of Photo Electoral Rolls and other related activities are conducted in a smooth and hassle free manner.

ERO further directed to launch a vibrant electoral literacy campaign as envisaged under the Election Commission of India’s SVEEP flagship programme. He reiterated to mobilize all the available resource for disseminating voter education and awareness.
