ZD Group, which owns and operates retail chain ZD Supermarkets, has opened a new store at Rajbagh, which is its second one in Srinagar.
The outlet was inaugurated by renowned Islamic scholar Moulana Sajad ur Rehman Qasmi, patron Madrasa Babul Uloom, Budshah Nagar, Natipora, Srinagar in presence of senior citizens, social activists and media persons.
Various items including women’s wear, kids wear, men’s wear, groceries, footwear, luggage, accessories, home furnishings, crockery, plastic goods and kitchen appliances are available in the new store with some discounts.
The company intends to make shopping a more enjoyable experience and hence intends to launch more outlets in Kashmir division, which would generate job opportunities for youth in the state, and also present the buyers with better shopping opportunities.
Mohammad Saleem Dar who heads ZD Group owns ZD Supermarkets, ZD Pharma, ZD Diagnostics, ZD Cements, ZD Properties, ZD Textiles , ZD Motors (Mahindra First Choice) appealed the youth to go for such self-employment opportunities instead of wandering here and there purposelessly.
He said that establishment of such utilities not only provides employment to the owner only but generates job opportunities for others as well.
