Students of 3rd Semester bid farewell to 4th Semester at Department of Convergent journalism Central University of Kashmir Tulmulla Campus here on Tuesday
Dean School of Media Studies Prof Shahid Rasool graced the occasion as Chief Guest while Head of Department Dr Arif Nazir, Sr Assistant Professor Dr Asif Khan, Sr Assistant Professor Dr John Babu, Assistant Professor Dr Nuka Raju, Dr Akhter other faculty members and group of Scholars were also present
The seniors received a warm welcome by the juniors and programme began with the juniors performances. The juniors enthusiastically performed farewell songs for the seniors; they sang songs which created an ambience full with emotions
The programme then was followed with the more performances where the juniors and seniors gave outstanding performances. The juniors created an ambience of enjoyment and music for the seniors to enjoy their last memories in the department. Further, the event was made memorable with the flashback memories that were shared by some Students
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Shahid Rasool wishing outgoing students bright future ahead said that a good student can do nothing without a good teacher and It is the teacher’s responsibility that they have to bring a student on the right track. However, it is also the responsibility of a student to follow their teacher’s orders to be on the right way.
Speaking on the occasion, HOD Dr Arif Nazir said that Department is a progressive students centered committed to providing quality and holistic education for all the students. Being the HOD, I have always tried my best to build confidence in you.
I am sure you are taking the treasure of knowledge in your head and heart today from this Department, He said.
