Mohammad Sidiq Wani, elder brother of late Mehraj-ud-Din Wani, founder of Daily Srinagar News and uncle of Chief Editor Srinagar News, Iqbal Wani left for heavenly abode on 30 November 2022 (Wednesday).

Mohammad Sidiq was a noble soul, who all his life as a government officer worked for the welfare of society. Chief-Editor, Srinagar News Iqbal Wani remembers his deceased uncle as a man with great knowledge, a pure soul, a well-behaved human being and a down-to-earth person.

“I have learned so many things from my uncle. He was a role model for me. My uncle would encourage achieving big in life and be loyal to my work. He would always guide me and enlighten me on various things. Whenever I faced any difficulty, I would go to him and seek suggestions. His guidance has definitely played a major role in my life,” said Iqbal Wani.

He will be greatly missed and is indeed a great loss to the family, said Iqbal.
