Needless to say that the footage of four different films recorded by the participants yesterday was watched and thereupon, edited by the experts during the day.

The students were also engaged in the editing activities. It is important to put on record that two short-films were also screened for the understanding of the participants.

Earlier in the morning, the coordinator for the day, Assistant Professor, Dr. Nayeem Showkat said that purpose of the activities to be undertaken today are meant to understand this collaborative art in general and particularly for the further dissemination of science through visuals.

He said that the main idea of the event was to popularise science among masses and to involve all the citizens and create awareness about science filmmaking and science among masses in local languages in addition to lingua franca.

“It has been possible to imagine the future of science through movies which explore the different aspects of technology. There are many previous movies in which technology was predicted which has been accomplished today,” he said, further adding that “since there are lots of myths around science the purpose of the event is to produce the content which will aid in busting the myths around it.”
