Police claimed to have arrested a drug peddler from Awantipora area.
During Vehicular checking Police Party of Police Station Awantipora headed by SHO Awantipora Inspector Mohammad Younis Khan under the supervision of SDPO Awantipora Shri Mumtaz Ali Bhatti -JKPS at Padgampora Bridge arrested one drug peddler identified as Amir Jabar Lone S/O Late Mohd Jabar Lone R/O Buhoo Awantipora.
The vehicle Auto bearing registration number JK13H-3155 in which the arrested person was travelling has also been seized.
05 grams of herion was recovered from the possession of the said person.
Case FIR Number 33/2023 under relevant sections of NDPS stands registered at Police Station Awantipora.
“Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace,” said police in a statement.
