Arrest of Mirwaiz Killers After Three Decades A ‘Landmark’ Achievement: BJP

In a significant breakthrough, two militants involved in the assassination of Mirwaiz Farooq have been apprehended by the police after nearly thirty years, marking one of the most momentous achievements, according to Abhijeet Jasrotia, the BJP spokesperson.

Expressing hope for Justice to be served to the bereaved family of the slain head preacher, Jasrotia emphasized that the protection extended to these criminals by the previous regimes came to an end in 2019. Jasrotia asserted that many individuals responsible for the brutal killings in Jammu and Kashmir had been shielded under previous regimes, thus evading punishment and roaming freely.

Welcoming this recent development, the BJP spokesperson called for a comprehensive reinvestigation of similar cases, urging for strict actions against terrorists and their sympathizers.

He stressed the necessity of delivering justice to numerous families affected by such crimes that remain unsolved.

Highlighting the recent arrests of Shabir Shah, Yasin Malik, and Bita Karate, Jasrotia commended the government’s commitment to bringing justice to the victims. He also lamented how these criminals managed to evade accountability during the tenure of former Chief Ministers who held positions of authority within the unified command structure at the time.

“For us, it is always the intentions and intensity that matter,” said Abhijeet Jasrotia, who serves as the Prabari for the Social Media for the BJP Jammu and Kashmir.
