Distinguished Journalists from Across India Recognized at Jaipur Event: Shri Puran Rao Smriti Samman

Jaipur played host to an esteemed gathering of journalists from across India, who were honored for their exceptional contributions to the field of journalism at the “Shri Puran Rao Smriti Samman” event. The ceremony, held in the vibrant city of Jaipur, celebrated the legacy of the late media personality, Puran Rao, and acknowledged the relentless pursuit of fair journalism and truth by these media warriors.

The event, which took place at the auditorium of Eternal Hospital in Malviya Nagar, was graced by the presence of notable dignitaries. Farooq Afridi, the Chief Minister’s Special Officer, and Ram Singh Rao, the Minister of State, Government of Rajasthan, served as special guests and added prestige to the occasion.

The awards ceremony aimed to recognize journalists who have upheld the credibility of media in society and maintained the highest standards of journalism. Journalists from Delhi, Mumbai, Jammu Kashmir, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Hyderabad, Chhattisgarh, and Goa, among other states, were honored with the prestigious Indian Media Warrior Award.

The awards were presented by prominent figures in the field of journalism, including Farooq Afridi, Chief Minister’s Privilege; Narayan Bareth, senior journalist and former Information Commissioner of Rajasthan; TEDx speaker, artist, and Cairn Gas & Oil General Manager Ayodhya Prasad Gaur.

The event saw the presence of various celebrities who graced the occasion, including Poonam Khangarot, Sudhir Mathur, Kamal Kishore Salvi, Satish Samraiwala, Chauthmal Bhageria, Sanjeev Chandravat, Nishat Khan, Pukhraj Mewada, and Mamta Sharma. The chairmanship and operations were overseen by Snip-Satyamev Network India Head and Nirmala Rao, President of Puran Rao Smriti Sansthan.

The felicitation ceremony commenced with Gopal Sharma and Poonam Khangarot welcoming the guests by garlanding them, symbolizing respect and honor. Among the recipients were Dr. Rajeev Munjal from Hanuman Garh, Manendra Pratap Singh from Mumbai, Rajveer Singh from Goa, Mir Altaf from Jammu and Kashmir, Hasnain Ariz from Bihar, Taseem Ahmed from Delhi, Jagdish Singh from Hyderabad, Vikram Rajpurohit from Jodhpur, Dr. Prabhat Sharma from Jodhpur, Dr. Sukhdev Rao from Jodhpur, Sunil Pandit from Udaipur, Prashant Gupta from Gujarat, Prerna Sharma from Jodhpur, Sir Megha Tiwari from Chhattisgarh, Siddharth Sharma from Jaipur, Utkarsh Jain from Jaipur, and Sunita Tewari from Delhi, among others.

Adding an element of entertainment to the ceremony, renowned magician RK Soni enthralled everyone with his mesmerizing magic show. The melodious songs performed by singer Siraj Alam added charm to the event. In an interactive session, senior doctors shared their insights on the current lifestyle and the challenges posed by serious diseases through a health talk.

The program also featured the presentation of the Shri Puran Rao Smriti Samman: Satyamev Star Award, which honored exceptional correspondents and media personnel from Satyamev News, adding further recognition to their outstanding contributions.
