G20 Summit: Biden, Sunak, Trudeau, Erdogan Among Various World Leaders Arrive In New Delhi
India is all set to host leaders from across the world for the G20 Summit 2023 to be held on September 9 and 10, reports said.
The summit as per reports will be attended by most of the world leaders including US President Joe Biden, UK PM Rishi Sunak, Canadian PM Justin Trudeau, Australian PM Anthony Albanese, Republic of Korea President Suk Yeol Yoon, Japanese PM Fumio Kishida, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, French President Emmanuel Macron, Germany Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Turkiye President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and more.
The summit is scheduled for September 9 and 10 and will be held at the state-of-the-art Bharat Mandapam located in Pragati Maidan.
Leaders from the world’s major economies are meeting in India to discuss pressing geopolitical issues.
United States President Joe Biden touched down in Delhi on Friday evening, landing at the Indira Gandhi International Airport aboard Air Force One. His visit is in anticipation of the G20 Summit taking place over the weekend.
President Biden is scheduled to engage in bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Prior to his departure for India, President Biden shared a message on X (formerly Twitter), emphasizing the benefits of G20 engagements, stating, “Every time we convene as the G20, we make progress.”
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni arrived in Delhi on September 8th, marking her presence for the G20 Leaders’ Summit. She was greeted at the National Capital by Minister of State for Agriculture Shobha Karandlaje.
UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, accompanied by his wife Akshata Narayana Murty, arrived in Delhi on Friday afternoon. Later, Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau also arrived at Delhi airport.
Japanese PM Fumio Kishida and Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammad Bin Salman Al-Saud has also arrived in Delhi today.
