At least 12 students fell unconscious during an event in government girls higher secondary school Handwara on Thursday, officials said.
An official told KNS that the school had organised a self-defence event for girl students during which one of the students sprayed pepper spray, following which 12 students fell unconscious.
He said that the students were immediately shifted to SDH Handwara for treatment.
“Some girls had managed to get pepper spray from somewhere and they mischievously sprayed it during the event,” he said. (KNS)
