Low Intensity Earthquake Hits J&K
A low-intensity tremor hit the J&K’s Kishtwar area on Tuesday morning, reported the National Centre for Seismology (NCS).
As per the news agency CNS, the NCS reported that the low intensity earthquake of magnitude 3.6, having its epicenter in Kishtwar, mildly shook the J&K on the 16th January morning at 08:53:53 IST.
The depth of the earthquake was 5 km, with 33.34 and 76.70 as its latitude and longitude, respectively, according to the NCS.
However, there were no reports of casualties or damage incurred to the property anywhere in the areas falling closer to the epicenter. (CNS)
