CRRID Hosts Event to Honor NLCO Chairman with 3rd Green Chandigarh Award
In a significant recognition of outstanding contributions to environmental conservation, CRRID Chandigarh organized a special event at Hotel Kashmir Mahal Resorts, Srinagar, to honor the Nigeen Lake Conservation Organisation (NLCO) Chairman Manzoor Wangnoo with the prestigious 3rd Green Chandigarh Award.
The event, held as a follow-up event by CRRID Chandigarh, witnessed the presence of esteemed members of CRRID, headed by Conference Coordinator Dr. Manoj Teotia, heads and members of travel and trade associations, former bureaucrats, academicians, and dedicated volunteers. Notable attendees included Dr. G N Qasba, Former SMC Commissioner; Farooq Gillani, IFS Retd., Former Chief Conservator Forests; G N Var, President Private Schools Association; Dr. Rafi Ahmad, Former Director Board of School Education; Er. Aijaz Naqshbandi, Urban and Regional Planner; Tariq Ghani, General Secretary CCIK; Farooq Kuthoo, Executive Committee Member KCC&I; Prof. M A Shah, HoD Physics NIT Srinagar; Dr. Tauseef, Executive Committee Member KCC&I, and Rizvi Amjad, Environment Enthusiast.
During the event, participants expressed their appreciation for NLCO Chairman's remarkable efforts in environmental conservation and conveyed their gratitude to CRRID for bestowing this prestigious accolade. They also engaged in meaningful discussions regarding environmental preservation and emphasized the collective responsibility in safeguarding our natural resources.
Special acknowledgment was given to the administration for their proactive measures in improving the environment especially efforts of LC&MA were lauded in keeping Dal and Nigeen lakes cleaner.
In his acceptance speech, Mr. Wangnoo, NLCO Chairman, expressed his gratitude to CRRID for the honor and dedicated the award to the dedicated team members of NLCO. Dr. Manoj extended his thanks to all attendees for their presence and urged everyone to unite for the betterment of the environment.
The event concluded on a positive note with a dinner gathering, fostering a spirit of collaboration and commitment towards environmental stewardship.
