Achal Dev Singh convener ALL J&K LOW PAID Employees Federation has demanded the constitution of 8th pay commission, the recommendation of which are due from Ist January 2026,
He said that pay commission is typically constituted at interval of 10 years and recommends the changes that need to be pade keeping in mind external factors such as inflation.He also demands clearance of GP fund , gratuity and other bills of employees and pensioners which are lying pending in the due to financial mismanagement of Govt.
The various demands highlighted by the federation are:
Implimentation of old pension scheme (OPS).
Merger of Percent of DA in basis pay and pension as per 7th pay commission recommendations.
Regularisation of daily wagers of all departments , earned leave for teachers, enhancement of medical allowance from rs300 to rs 1000, enhancement of pension at the age of 65 , 70 , 75 and 80 years, increase in income tax slab to rs 12 Lacs, implimentation of SRO 43 in its old form, release of DA due from July 2020 to Dec 2021, transfer policy in favour of ReT teachers, village guards be declared class 4th employees and enhancement and regularisation of other consolidated /contractual employees of various departments.
