Swatch Bharat mission was launched to make Nation pollution free and under this scheme scores of segregation sheds were constructed so locals can assemble all the garbage there
In this view residents of Surasyar block protested against block development officer Surasyar and said that dustbins were installed at number of places in the village which are overflowing with garbage and no one is collecting the garbage from these dustbins due to which the sites of these dustbins have turned into dumping sites
They further added that department has alloted collection vehicles to block Surasyar for door to door collection but they haven't been used by the department yet and are lying useless in block office
They further allege that the plans of development were made in front of Gram Sabha and were made with consent of members of every ward but the plans have been changed for no reason
While on getting in contact with block officers they said that all the plans have been made by the people who were in Gram Sabha and no change has been brought to that and proved the allegations false and ACD Budgam on answering the same said that she will revisit the plan and also said every genuine demand of people will be entertained
Moreover ASP Swatch Bharat mission said that at some place there are issues of dumping sites and within no time the matter will be discussed with revenue department so the dumping sites will be made and all demands of people will get fulfilled
He further added that people also need to fulfill the duty of social responsibility and should keep surroundings clean till dumping sites get constructed
