Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is set to preside over a significant meeting in New Delhi tomorrow, featuring top Congress leaders from Jammu and Kashmir. This meeting comes in the wake of the Election Commission of India's recent visit to the region.
According to insiders within the party, the invitees include Congress President for Jammu and Kashmir Vikar Rasool, Raman Bhallas, Tariq Hamid Karra, G.A. Mir, Pirzada Muhammad Sayeed, Ghulam Nabi Monga, Lal Singh, and legal advisor Ashok Bhan.
During the meeting, Rahul Gandhi will seek feedback from local J&K leaders regarding the upcoming elections and the prevailing situation in the region. The leaders are expected to provide insights and suggestions on how to strengthen the Congress party in Jammu and Kashmir ahead of the Assembly elections.
This gathering is viewed as a critical step in the Congress party's efforts to revitalize its presence in the region, particularly in the Jammu Division. With Assembly elections on the horizon, the party aims to assess the ground situation and strategize its approach to regain lost support.
