Prof. Saifuddin Soz, former Union Minister, issued a heartfelt statement expressing profound sadness over the passing of senior CPM leader Sitaram Yechury.
In his statement, Soz reflected on their longstanding personal relationship, saying, "I knew him closely for more than three decades and maintained friendly relations with him till now." He described Yechury as a figure with commendable qualities and widespread respect across political lines.
Soz noted, "The unfortunate demise of Sitaram Yechury is not just a loss to the CPM but to the nation as a whole." He praised Yechury's clarity and boldness in addressing issues both in Parliament and beyond.
Offering condolences, Soz extended his sympathies to Yechury's family and the Communist Party of India (Marxist), acknowledging the deep respect and affection Yechury garnered from those who knew him.
