RLD Conducts Key Meeting in Srinagar
In a significant meeting held in Srinagar, the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD), led by National General Secretary Shri Trilok Tyagi and Jammu and Kashmir In-charge Vinay Pradhan, addressed pressing issues related to statehood, unemployment, and development. The meeting focused on critical areas such as women's empowerment, the expansion of Smart City initiatives, and the preservation of traditional shawl embroidery crafts.
Incharge Jammu and Kashmir RLD Vinay Pradhan played a pivotal role in the meeting, alongside several senior leaders and party members including Dr Sheikh Zahoor President RLD UT J&K, Mohammad Altaf Dar, General Secretary (Org)/Publicity Chief; Mokhul Pandit; Basit Hayat Zargar, contested candidate from Hazratbal, Tariq Bhat, Secretary RLD,Adv Tajamul, Mohammad Sadiq and Khalid.
During the meeting, Shri Trilok Tyagi reiterated RLD's strong demand for the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir's statehood, highlighting its importance for restoring democratic rights and addressing the rising issue of unemployment. He also called for skill development programs, particularly for youth and women, to empower them and create new opportunities in the region.
The participants urged the government to expand the Smart City development projects to include Srinagar’s outskirts and extended areas, emphasizing the need for infrastructure improvement, better healthcare, and education. Additionally, Tyagi emphasized the importance of supporting traditional artisans, particularly those involved in shawl embroidery, by introducing skill enhancement programs and better financial aid mechanisms.
The meeting concluded with a commitment from RLD to continue advocating for Jammu and Kashmir’s growth, ensuring that the concerns of the people are represented at all levels.
