Prof. Saifuddin Soz, former Union Minister, today issued a strong statement urging senior leaders of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Mr. Omar Abdullah, to assert their leadership and advocate for the restoration of the abrogated Article 370 of the Constitution of India.
In his remarks, Soz emphasized the need for the leaders to recognize their responsibility to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. “A people are known by their will supported by their effort for achieving the goal,” he stated. He encouraged the leaders to be mindful of the widespread support they would receive in the J&K Legislative Assembly.
Soz also highlighted the importance of democratic expression, reminding the leaders that Jammu and Kashmir is part of the world's largest democracy, which should allow for the free expression of democratic aspirations.
“I wish them all success in their endeavors,” he concluded.
