FIL Industries Participates in 16th Edition of CII AgroTech India – Krishi Bharat

FIL Industries Private Limited, a diversified business enterprise, recently participated in the 16th edition of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) AgroTech India – Krishi Bharat held from 15th to 18th November 2024 at Vrindavan Grounds, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

The event was inaugurated by Shri Yogi Adityanath, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, and attracted global participation, along with significant involvement from the Indian agricultural and farming sectors.

This year’s theme, ‘Harvesting Innovation for Sustainable Agriculture’, underscored the event’s focus on advancing agricultural growth through technological interventions, sustainable practices, and farmer engagement. It provided a platform for fostering strategic partnerships, strengthening agri-trade relationships, and exploring new engagements in the sector.

A key highlight of the event was the International Pavilion, with the Netherlands as the partner country, showcasing expertise in agriculture, agri-technology, and food processing. This pavilion facilitated business linkages and networking opportunities between international participants and Indian counterparts.

As an associate sponsor, FIL Industries presented itself as a significant player in the agriculture value chain. The company disseminated brochures and information on its diverse business segments, including Crop Protection, Crop Nutrition, Apple Cluster, Post Harvest Management, FMCG, and FILAVAL (rootstock nursery). Visitors were also given samples of FIL’s products, such as apple juice concentrate, fruit juices, cocoa powder, and crop protection products.

FIL Industries' participation at the forum also included a prominent presence at the CEO Roundtable on the "Future of Farming", which brought together industry leaders and policymakers to discuss transformative technologies like precision agriculture, AI, and IoT, alongside sustainable farming practices.

Mr. Syed Junaid Altaf, Chairman, CII J&K and Group Executive Director of FIL Industries, actively engaged in the inaugural session and CEO Roundtable. In his address at the CII AgroTech India – Krishi Bharat forum, he emphasized the importance of industry and farmer collaboration to address the challenges of modern farming. He remarked, "CII AgroTech Krishi Bharat is a great platform for showcasing what the farming community and industry can do together. It is critical for regions across the country to participate in events like this to learn from each other."

Highlighting the importance of industry engagement, Mr. Altaf stated, "Agriculture is a long-term endeavor. Today, we are at the cusp of a new revolution, a food revolution driven by climate change and challenges that didn’t exist before. Industry and academia must come together to address this challenge. The farmer is the biggest risk-taker, and it’s crucial for us to work closely with them to reduce their risks and create sustainable livelihoods at the farm level."
