The Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum (JKCSF) Chairman and President of the Pensioners United Front, Abdul Qayoom Wani, has warmly praised the decision of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Education Minister Sakeena Masood to reappoint Dr. Ghulam Nabi Yatoo as the Director of School Education, Kashmir (DSEK).

Wani extended his congratulations to Dr. Yatoo, lauding him as a visionary leader whose previous tenure had a lasting impact on the region's educational landscape.

In a statement, Wani described Dr. Yatoo as a leader with a forward-thinking approach and a proven track record of transformative contributions to education in Kashmir. During his previous tenure, Dr. Yatoo's collaborative efforts with various stakeholders led to the regularization of 41,000 Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) teachers, alongside significant improvements in the overall school system.

His innovative policies in curriculum development, moral education, and teaching resources had a lasting effect on the quality of education in the region, Wani noted.

Wani expressed optimism that Dr. Yatoo’s reappointment would address key concerns facing teachers and students, including enhancing academic standards, improving teacher welfare, and ensuring a more holistic educational experience. He emphasized that Dr. Yatoo’s leadership would continue to drive positive change and bring much-needed reforms to the sector.

"I had the honor of working with Dr. Yatoo for over three years, and I was deeply impressed by his human nature, simplicity, and visionary leadership. His commitment to education and sense of responsibility towards the community are truly commendable," Wani said.

The JKCSF also extended its best wishes to Dr. Yatoo for his continued success in his new role and assured him of full support in advancing the cause of education for the benefit of future generations and society at large.
