Drinking Water Crisis in Tangmarg: Locals Threaten to Block Srinagar-Gulmarg Road

The drinking water shortage in the Tangmarg area, especially in the villages of Usson Bangil, Utko Bangil, Barz Allah, and Goigam, has reached an unbearable level.

The residents of these villages are facing severe difficulties due to the lack of access to clean drinking water.

In a press statement, Ab Qayoom Wani, Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum and President of the Pensioners United Front, expressed serious concern over the water crisis in Tangmarg. Wani pointed out that despite repeated requests to the administration, this critical issue remains unresolved. He emphasized that the situation has become intolerable and is severely affecting the lives of local residents.

Wani appealed to the administration to address the drinking water shortage at the earliest, warning that if the issue is not resolved soon, the people of the area will have no choice but to block the Srinagar-Gulmarg road to raise their voices forcefully.
