ACT – For A Better Tomorrow Presents Two Stage Plays in Srinagar

ACT – For A Better Tomorrow (formerly known as Actors' Creative Theatre) showcased two captivating stage plays, Jheel Bula Rahi Hai in Urdu and Pagla Ghoda in Hindi, on January 26, 2025. Both performances were directed by Mushtaaque Ali Ahmad Khan, a renowned figure in the local theatre scene.

The plays were staged at the Open Air Theatre in the NGO’s Enclave, Chhatabal Military Garrison, Bemina Qamarwari Road, Srinagar, before an enthusiastic audience, primarily consisting of young people. The performances received widespread appreciation for their powerful acting and engaging narratives.

Jheel Bula Rahi Hai, written by Ali Mohammad Lone, featured performances by Mushtaaque Ali and Zubair Farooq. Meanwhile, Pagla Ghoda, written by renowned playwright Badal Sarkar, was performed by Shahid Mushtaq, Rabiya Shafeeq, Mutayib Nabi, Barkat Ali, and Aaqib Haleem.

The event was well-received, with the audience praising the depth of the performances and the creative execution of both plays.

Looking ahead, the group has plans to bring Jheel Bula Rahi Hai to Jammu in the coming weeks, offering more theatre lovers an opportunity to experience this moving production.
