Er Rashid’s Bail Plea Listed for Tomorrow; Hunger Strike Enters 7th Day

The interim bail plea of incarcerated AIP President and Baramulla MP Er Rashid was heard today in the Delhi High Court. After detailed arguments, the matter has been listed for tomorrow.

The court has directed the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to provide instructions on whether Er Rashid can be sent on custody parole to attend the ongoing Parliament budget session.

In a parallel development, the Registrar General of the Delhi High Court has committed to mentioning the case before the Hon'ble Supreme Court tomorrow, seeking urgent resolution of a jurisdictional issue.

AIP Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi confirmed that Er Rashid's indefinite hunger strike has entered its seventh day. "He has already lost significant weight and his health is deteriorating, but his spirit remains unbroken. Despite this, he continues his peaceful protest, demanding justice and his right to represent the people," Inam stated.

Reaffirming his commitment to the legal system, Inam Un Nabi expressed faith in the judiciary and the Constitution of India. "We firmly believe that justice will prevail and Er Rashid Sahib will be allowed to fulfill his democratic duty as an elected Member of Parliament," he added.
