Two Months Without Pay: NHM Employees Urge LG, CM to Intervene

Employees working under the Jammu and Kashmir National Health Mission (NHM) have expressed growing concern and frustration over the non-payment of their monthly wages, with employees going without pay for the past two months.

Muneer Andrabi, President of the National Health Mission Employees Association (NHMEA), voiced his deep concern over the delay in salaries, stating that the employees are experiencing significant mental distress due to the non-payment. "Despite working tirelessly around the clock, the employees have not been paid for the last two months. This delay is causing immense stress and hardship, as employees are unable to meet their basic needs," Andrabi said. He further stated that they are being compelled to take to the streets in an effort to make their voices heard by the authorities.

The employees have urged the authorities to prioritize the resolution of this issue and address their grievances promptly.

Andrabi has appealed to the Lt. Governor, Chief Minister, Principal Secretary of Finance, and Secretary of Health and Medical Education to take immediate action to resolve the situation.
