Er Rashid Ends Hunger Strike on 11th Day After Court Grants Custody Parole: AIP
Awami Ittihaad Party (AIP) Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi announced on Monday that Er Rashid has ended his hunger strike after 11 days, following the Delhi High Court's decision to grant him a two-day custody parole, scheduled for February 11 and February 13.
Welcoming the decision, Inam Un Nabi expressed gratitude to the people of Baramulla Parliamentary Constituency and the people of Jammu and Kashmir for their overwhelming support. He also extended thanks to political and religious leaders, civil society members, trade unions, social and human rights activists for standing in solidarity with the incarcerated leader.
Inam Un Nabi also praised the dedicated team of lawyers, including Senior Advocate Mr. H. Hariharan, Mr. Vikhyat Oberoi, Mr. Aditya Wadhwa, Ms. Nishita Gupta, Mr. Shivam Prakash, Mr. Ravi Sharma, Ms. Jagriti Pandey, Ms. Punya Rekha Angara, Ms. Vasundhara, Ms. Sana Singh, Mr. Aman Akhtar, Mr. Vinayak Gautam, and Mr. Hasain Khwaja, for their tireless efforts in securing justice for Er Rashid.
Inam emphasized that despite the difficulties, Er Rashid remains steadfast in his commitment to representing the sentiments and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. "His dedication to the cause remains unshaken. AIP will continue its fight for justice and democracy," he added.
He further expressed hope that justice will be served through the granting of regular bail to the incarcerated Member of Parliament, reaffirming their full faith in the judiciary and the Constitution.
Inam Un Nabi concluded by urging all well-wishers to continue supporting Er Rashid in his efforts to safeguard the democratic rights and dignity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
