Candidates who appeared for the written exams for the posts of Junior Assistants of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court earlier this week have alleged that these tests were conducted “unfairly.”

According to the details available with the Kashmir Press Service (KPS) these exams were held on March 16, 2025 in Srinagar and other examination centers in Kashmir.

In various social media posts, candidates have alleged that the conduct of the examination agency was suspicious. One candidate wrote in a post on social media that “I have many concerns regarding the question paper. Will the Supreme Court investigate this? Perhaps the truth will come out.”

Another candidate wrote in a post on X, “There were suspicious indications in many places in the question paper. It seemed that these indications were deliberately placed so that those who understand can understand.” He added, “If this is investigated, the truth will come out.”

“Exam was totally a scam. The OMR sheets were missing in bundles in various centers. In centers like Government Boys Higher Secondary School Zadibal two OMR sheets were missing. Similarly in AGM school OMR sheets were missing,” wrote a candidate on facebook.

Another candidate wrote: “Examination papers were not properly sealed and question papers were not opened in the classes where exams were held.”

Meanwhile, sources told KPS that a person associated with the examination agency came to Srinagar on the evening of March 15 and stayed at a hotel in Dalgate here. “For what purpose did this person come, where did he stay? whom did he meet and why, all this information is still under the category of secret.”
Sources said that the investigating agencies can get more information about this person. His phone number and air ticket details have also been shared. “This matter is becoming fishy and it is likely that the investigating agencies will conduct further probe into this person to find out who he was and what his motive was,” sources added.

It’s pertinent to mention here that about 31,000 candidates appeared in these exams at 61 designated centres in Srinagar and Budgam districts. The examination was conducted for 283 posts through online mode.
The recruitment process also includes the posts of Stenotypist, System Officer, and System Assistant.

The judicial officers were deployed as observers while district judiciary staff have been assigned supervisory responsibilities at their respective examination centres.
