Kashmir Braces for Thundershowers Over the Next Week

A fresh spell of unstable weather is set to affect Jammu and Kashmir over the coming days, with multiple rounds of thundershowers, gusty winds, and intermittent dry spells on the forecast, according to Kashmir Weather.

On April 16, thundershowers are expected to develop across many parts of the region by late afternoon. Strong winds and heavy showers are also possible. Farmers have been advised to avoid orchard spraying due to the wet conditions.

April 17 is likely to bring a brief respite, with mostly dry weather on the cards. Spraying activities can resume, as per advisory.

However, between April 18 and 20, the weather is expected to deteriorate again, with several rounds of thundershowers forecast across the Valley and other regions. Strong winds and localized downpours may pose risks to crops and travel. Spraying orchards is strongly discouraged during this period.

April 21 may see relatively calm weather, though a stray shower in some areas cannot be ruled out.

By April 22, dry weather is expected to return, offering a suitable window for spraying and other outdoor agricultural work.
