JKCSF Chairman Condemns Pahalgam Terror Attack
Abdul Qayoom Wani, Chairman of the Jammu & Kashmir Civil Society Forum (JKCSF) and Jammu & Kashmir Pensioners United Front (JKPUF), has issued a strong and emotional condemnation of the barbaric terrorist attack on innocent tourists in Pahalgam. Describing the attack as the “highest form of barbarism,” Wani stated that it is a savage assault on humanity and an unforgivable crime against the soul of Kashmir.
In his statement, Abdul Qayoom Wani said:
“This cruel and inhuman act has no sanction in any religion. It stands in absolute contrast to the values of our peaceful and hospitable Kashmiri society. Kashmiris can never tolerate such brutality. Our land is known for warmth, humility, and humanity—this act seeks to tarnish that image, and it must be condemned by all.”
He stressed that the perpetrators must be brought to justice without delay.
“The culprits behind this heinous crime must be exposed at any cost and dealt with sternly. There should be no space for such enemies of peace in a civilised society. Justice must be swift, transparent, and uncompromising,” Wani asserted.
Expressing deep sorrow, he said:
“I express my heartfelt solidarity with the victim families. Their pain is not theirs alone—it is felt by every true Kashmiri. We share in their grief, and we pray for eternal peace to the departed souls and strength to the bereaved families.”
Wani urged the administration to conduct a thorough and credible investigation, tighten security protocols, and ensure the safety of all civilians, especially tourists who come to experience the beauty and warmth of Kashmir.
Wani also added that JKCSF stands shoulder to shoulder with the bereaved families. The pain of losing innocent lives in such a horrific act is unbearable, and we share this grief with every heart that bleeds for humanity.
“The spirit of Kashmiriyat cannot be silenced by bullets. We will continue to stand united against violence and uphold the legacy of peace, harmony, and hospitality that defines us,” concluded Abdul Qayoom Wani.
