A delegation of the Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) led by Senior AIP Leader and former MLA Sheikh Khursheed, along with PRO to MP Baramulla Peerzada Firdouse Ahmad, District President Anantnag Aquib Mushtaq and Senior Leader Zameer Dakroo visited the family of Shaheed Syed Adil Hussain Shah in Hapatnard Pahalgam to offer their heartfelt condolences and express solidarity.
The AIP delegation paid glowing tributes to Shaheed Syed Adil Hussain, hailing him as the true face of Kashmir and Kashmiriyat — a symbol of compassion, bravery and humanity. They emphasized that Syed Adil’s supreme sacrifice while saving tourists reflects the true ethos of the Kashmiri people.
During their visit, the delegation strongly condemned the heinous terror attack and reiterated AIP's unwavering stand against violence in all its forms.
While speaking to media persons , Senior AIP leader and MLA Langate Sheikh Khursheed expressed deep concern over the attempts by sections of the fake media to spread false narratives — sometimes framing the situation as "communal," and at other times painting it with a "religious" brush. He reminded that at the recent All Parties Meeting, AIP had clearly appealed to all political and media stakeholders to act responsibly, restrain from divisive narratives and avoid playing a role that could widen gaps between communities.
Sheikh Khursheed also urged the authorities to ensure that innocent civilians are not harassed either within Jammu and Kashmir or outside the region in the aftermath of such incidents. They stressed that collective punishment and profiling only serve to alienate people and deepen wounds.
The AIP reiterated its commitment to protecting the spirit of brotherhood, mutual respect and Kashmiriyat, and vowed to continue standing with the victims of violence and injustice.
