Schools in border areas of Kashmir to remain closed
All government and private schools in the border areas of Kashmir Valley will remain closed tomorrow as a precautionary measure, officials confirmed.
According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), the closure applies to schools across Kupwara district, including Karnah, Keran, Machil, Kumkadi, Budnambal, and Jumagand. In Baramulla district, schools in the Uri, Jhulla, Chandanwari, and Boniyar zones will also remain shut, along with schools in Zone Gurez of Bandipora district.
Authorities cited safety and security concerns amid the prevailing situation in the border regions as the reason for the closure.
