Operation Sindoor: Amit Shah Leads Tiranga Yatra in Ahmedabad to Honour Armed Forces

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday led the 'Tiranga Yatra' in Ahmedabad, organised to honour the Indian Armed Forces following the success of Operation Sindoor. The rally, held under the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency, drew significant public participation as a tribute to the military's role in combating terrorism.

Addressing the nation through a post on X (formerly Twitter), Shah stated, “The brave soldiers of the nation, through their valour, have made Operation Sindoor synonymous with the eradication of terrorism. Live from the Tiranga Yatra organised in the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha to honour the soldiers for the historic success of this operation.”

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced that the Tiranga Yatra will be observed from May 13 to 23, celebrating the armed forces' achievements during Operation Sindoor. The operation was launched in retaliation to the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives.

According to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the operation targeted terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, resulting in the killing of nearly 100 terrorists. The operation has since been hailed as a significant milestone in India’s ongoing counter-terrorism efforts.

The yatra aims to foster national pride and express public gratitude to the armed forces for their continued service and sacrifice.
