Women Welfare Forum SKIMS Organises NCD Screening Camp for Women Employees

The Women Welfare Forum SKIMS today organised a Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) Screening Camp for women employees at the SKIMS Auditorium.

The camp was inaugurated by Director SKIMS & EOSG, Prof. M. Ashraf Ganie, along with Dean Medical Faculty SKIMS and Medical Superintendent SKIMS, Prof. Sadaf Ali, who is also the Chairperson of the Women Welfare Forum.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Ashraf Ganie appreciated the organisers and said that the initiative under the banner of “Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan” holds great significance, as the health of women employees is crucial for the institution. He added that SKIMS has always taken a lead role in ensuring the well-being of its workforce, with a special focus on women’s health.

The camp was organised under the chairpersonship of Prof. Sadaf Ali and coordinated by Dr. Shamila H. Qadri, Organising Secretary.

A number of health stalls were set up at the camp, which included blood pressure monitoring, breast screening, chronic liver disease assessment, obesity screening, and other lifestyle-related health checks. The event was well-received and witnessed active participation from women employees across SKIMS.
