Shopian Police Celebrates 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel
To commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Shopian Police organized a series of district-wide events celebrating his ideals of unity, integrity, and public service.
Reiterating its dedication to peace, harmony, and national unity, Shopian Police emphasizede of drug abuse was held at National Innovative Public School Zainapora (NIPS) and Government High School Batfojen Chown.
Students and teachers were sensitized about the new legal frameworks — Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA). Officers from Shopian Police highlighted the key reforms, emphasizing citizens’ rights, responsibilities, and the significance of law awareness among youth.
The sessions also addressed the growing threat of drug abuse, urging students to remain alert and support law enforcement initiatives to build a drug-free society. Shopian Police reaffirmed its commitment to combat the drug menace through strict enforcement measures and continuous public awareness campaigns.
