Shopian Police Celebrates Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at Siraj Ul Uloom

To commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Shopian Police organized a public awareness meeting at Siraj Ul Uloom Imamsahib, highlighting Patel’s ideals of unity, integrity, and public service.

The event focused on key social issues including drug abuse prevention, crime against women, and juvenile awareness. Senior citizens, students, teachers, and community members actively participated in the session, underscoring the importance of collective responsibility in building a safer and more harmonious society.

On the occasion, DySP PC Imamsahib, Shri Chander Kant (JKPS) sensitized participants about the harmful effects of drug abuse and emphasized the need for youth engagement in positive social activities. He also spoke about the police’s ongoing efforts to address crimes against women and promote community policing.

Shopian Police reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining peace, promoting social harmony, and strengthening police-community relations in line with the spirit of Ekta Diwas and the legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
