BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh said that Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann is making a cowardly attempt to mislead the people of Punjab regarding the flood relief assistance extended by the office of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that more than Rs. 900 crores has already been released for flood-affected families, including farmers, yet Mann—under Kejriwal’s shadow—is busy spreading lies to deceive the people. Chugh added that Mann is resorting to baseless allegations to hide his failures.
Chugh said that Bhagwant Mann must stop his “comedy show” and stop betraying the trust of Punjab. The Modi government has supported Punjab at every step, but the Mann government, guided entirely by Arvind Kejriwal, is trying to snatch credit instead of acknowledging the Centre’s timely help.
Chugh added that this government is not only incompetent but is deliberately creating friction with the Centre to the detriment of Punjab’s welfare.
Chugh said that people in flood-affected regions are receiving benefits under various welfare schemes launched in the name of the Prime Minister. The truth is that central assistance has saved thousands of families, yet the Mann–Kejriwal duo is running a propaganda campaign to claim credit even as Punjab’s economy is collapsing.
Chugh said the complete failure of the Kejriwal–Bhagwant Mann government on every front shows how Punjab has been pushed into administrative chaos and an economic dark age. He added that the people of Punjab can clearly see through these lies, and this government will no longer succeed in misleading anyone.
